Archaeological evidence of cotton textile industry's existence at Mohenjo-Daro in Indus Valley around 3000 B.C indicates that India has been the hub of the textile ever since. From Pashmina shawls from Kashmir to Chanderi cotton from Madhya Pradesh to Kanchipuram Silk from down south, the massive variety of textile India has is worth an exploration.

  1. Pashmina Wool - Kashmir:
Pashmina is a type of fine cashmere wool that was first woven in India. The name comes from Pashmineh, Persian for “made from wool”. The beautiful piece of clothing is loved by everyone since centuries and the tradition method of making it is still very much alive. Each piece takes around 1 to 1.5 years of hard work of local artisans. Some of the pictures of the shawl are shown below:
